Nelson’s Art Car Parade, Nelson Town Centre, Pendle

Art Car Parade makes its 2011 debut at the opening of Nelson High Street in Pendle this summer. Around twelve Art Car favourites, including Crazy Golf and Small World, will be appearing as part of a short cavalcade of colourful street theatre and artistic automobiles. Joining the vehicles will be performers, on wheels and foot, as well as music, poetry and local exhibitions.

From 10am, members of the public will be able to see the rigging of the Art Cars in the ‘pit-stop’ area before the formal opening of the high street and shuttle launch. This will be followed by two Art Car processions starting at 11.30am and ending at 4pm.
