Team Minnie
Presenting the best dressed Minnie in the North West. Dressed to impress, and to celebrate nearly 50 years of fashion. Her dedicated team of stylists have created a bespoke made-to-measure fabric outfit never before seen on four wheels. Her couture is constructed from a rich and beautiful mix of customised recycled fabrics and materials.

Minnie’s exterior is a kaleidoscope of retro-to-modern fashion. Beautifully tailored and figure hugging, her curves are protected and comforted, safe from the harsh elements outside. Inside we’ll see the linings of her outfit – there’ll be inside pockets, seams, and the underside of zips, buttons and hidden safety pins.
The team creating Minnie is Michelle Pouncey a freelance textile and print based artist (www.elli-p.com), Kath Owen is a freelance TV development producer, Kim Emson is a professional animator (currently working on CBBC’s Bob the Builder), Lynne Ainsworth an Art Director (currently working on CBBC’s Pingu) and Rachel Ramdewor is a design tutor at Royton & Crompton Secondary School.
Team Minnie are having a brilliant time transforming their very neglected and broken down mini into a beautiful Art Car superstar! John, their engineer has been hard at work rebulding her from the the inside out and making sure she runs like clockwork. Kim, Lynne, Michele and Rachel have been making patterns of her chassis and creating her one-off designer outfit in asymmetric patchwork, all sourced from second-hand shops, jumble sales and clothing donations from within Manchester. this means Minnie will be a real Northern Lass through and through.
